What is bootcamp?

Boot Camp is a fitness programme specifically designed for men and women of all fitness levels. You don’t have to put up with waiting for gym equipment and there is no time for wandering around aimlessly not putting in a great deal of effort because you will be under excellent supervision and instruction.

"Boot camp" does not mean you are going to be treated like you are in the Army and shouted at all the time. There will be positive encouragement and coaching to get the best out of you. Each Session is structured and you will be encouraged to push yourself beyond your normal point of failure and therefore you will reach goals that far exceed you expectation.

The first session is about you and assessing everyone's fitness levels. A few measurements will be taken so you can see how well you do at the end of the 6 weeks when you will be reassessed. Please note this is optional but we will be discreet and no one else need know your weight etc.

Fitness tests will then be carried out so that you can be put into groups. Tests are again all optional, but it is a good way to monitor your progress over the 6 weeks.

There are 3 different fitness groups and you will be put into one depending on your fitness assessment results. The reason for the groups is so everyone can work together but to within your own capability, so the fitter you are the more you are required to do, i.e. If the exercise was press ups, the reds (lower group) would do 5, the yellows (middle group) would do 10 and the greens (higher group) would do 15. Hopefully as Boot Camp progresses you will try and reach the next level up as your fitness increases.

Each session will be challenging and you need to put in 100% to get the most out of it. Over the 6 weeks, different elements of fitness will be covered including Cardiovascular, strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, speed and power exercises. Each session will have a focus to it. Exercises will vary from body weight exercises, to jogging / running, some weeks equipment may be available i.e. boxing pads and also things around the park i.e. benches.

At the end of the 6 weeks you will have hopefully seen a big improvement in your health and fitness, feel and look great, but more importantly reached your personal goals and come away with more knowledge about fitness and healthy living.
